Keep reading... The Kawasaki Z900RS is arguably the best modern retro motorcycle on the market today. It's had a cult following since it's introduction in 2018. Out of the box, it's pretty damn good and honestly the bike doesn't need much in the way of upgrades or improvements. It's also one of the nicest looking bikes on the market...Kawasaki did a great job with the overall styling and fit/finish. But, you can do a few things to improve the overall look of the bike, make it run better, sound better, and more fun to ride. We have a Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe in the shop, which we've been using to test aftermarket parts, and that bike has helped us compile the list below. If you're interested in building the ultimate Kawasaki Z900RS, see below for our Top 5 recommendations (in no particular order).   #1 - Bar End Mirrors with Mirror Mount Sliders - Kawasaki Z900RS On our Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe Project Bike, we noticed right away that the look of the stock mirrors just didn't work with the beautiful lines of the bike, so we immediately pulled those mirrors off, and installed CRG bar end mirrors with the very trick Rhino Moto Bar End Sliders that have Mirror Mounts built into them. The Rhino bar end sliders not only mount your mirrors, but then they also act as sliders and protect the ends of your handlebars in the event of a drop or crash. Our favorite mirrors for the Z900RS are the 3" CRG Hindsight LS, followed closely by the slightly smaller 2" CRG Blindsight LS. Both provide excellent visibility, and they fold out of the way as well. We've put together a Bar End Mirror Kit for the Z900RS that will work on all model years of the bike from 2018-2025, and even the revised 2026+ models. PURCHASE AT THE FOLLOWING LINK: Click link below...   #2 - Aftermarket Header Pipe - Kawasaki Z900RS One of the best modifications you can do to your 2018-2025 Kawasaki Z900RS is replacing the stock header pipe section of the exhaust with an aftermarket header like this one from Leo Vince. My main complaint with the stock exhaust on the Z900RS was that it was too quiet at speed and couldn't be heard above the wind noise. An aftermarket header is the answer.... it really wakes the bike up from a sound standpoint, giving it a more aggressive throaty sound, without being obnoxiously loud. These header pipes are designed to work with the bikes stock muffler, which is one of the better looking designs, and it sounds great when teamed up with an aftermarket header pipe. The aftermarket headers we carry from Leo Vince and Akrapovic will fit the 2018-2025 models. We're still hoping these two companies will offer replacement header pipes for the 2026+ models as well. PURCHASE AT THE FOLLOWING LINKS: Click link below...   #3 - Fender Eliminator Kit / Tail Tidy - Kawasaki Z900RS If you want to improve the look of your 2018+ Kawasaki Z900RS / Cafe, one of the best mods is a rear fender eliminator kit / tail tidy. After researching a few options, we decided to go with the New Rage Cycles (NRC) Fender Eliminator Kit on our Z900RS Cafe Project Bike. We've used their kits on several of our project bikes over the years, and have always liked the quality and plug-n-play installation. Their kit for the Z900RS re-uses the stock tail light, but provides LED turn signals that mount just to the side and underneath the tail light, and then there is a license plate mount (either standard position or tucked position) and an LED license plate light. This kit really transforms the overall look of the bike! Another option is the Yoshimura Fender Eliminator Kit, which retains the stock tail light, and has a mounting bracket to re-mount the stock turn signals. Both of these kits will fit all model years of the Z900RS, including the 2026+ models. However, I think atleast a few protective products should be near the top of every Z900RS owners shopping list. A simple radiator guard is a good idea to protect that expensive radiator from road debris being kicked up off your front tire. And frame sliders / axle sliders could help limit damage to your bike, whether it be a simple tip over in the garage, or a low side out on street. These products will fit all model years of the Z900RS, including the 2018-2026 models as well as the 2026+ models. Both feature an unbreakable lever with pivoting design, as well as adjustable reach with 4 inches of range via the micro-indexing dial reach adjuster. These levers also look much much better than the Z900's cheap looking stock levers. The F3 Series are available in a nice looking black finish, with colored adjuster dials, and the C5 Series is even sharper looking with the Black Bicolore finish.
