My main complaint with the stock exhaust on the Z900RS was that it was too quiet at speed and couldn't be heard above the wind noise. An aftermarket header is the answer.... it really wakes the bike up from a sound standpoint, giving it a more agressive throaty sound, without being obnoxiously loud.
