My main complaint with the stock exhaust on the Z900RS was that it was too quiet at speed and couldn't be heard above the wind noise. An aftermarket header is the answer.... it really wakes the bike up from a sound standpoint, giving it a more agressive throaty sound, without being obnoxiously loud. These header pipes are designed to work with the bikes stock muffler, which is one of the better designs, and looks / sounds great.
