There are a lot of tire options out there, and listed below are some of the ones we've used on our project bikes, or just recommend in general for these bikes once you've switched it over to 17" supermoto wheels. FRONT TIRE NOTE: The Yamaha WR250X supermoto came stock with a 110/70-17 front tire. Some WR250R/WR250X owners will run a 120/70-17 front tire on their supermoto, but certain tires in that size can rub on the widest part of the front fork under compression, so be aware of that. You will notice below that we recommend a 110/70-17 front tire for this bike just to avoid any rubbing issues. 110 front tires are a bit harder to find, but there are still some high quality tires offered in that size. REAR TIRE NOTE: The Yamaha WR250X supermoto came stock with a 140/70-17 rear tire, which is the size we use. You can also run a 150/60-17 rear tire size with no issues. Yamaha WR250R / WR250X Supermoto Tires: For a WR250R or WR250X supermoto we like the following tires from Dunlop, Pirelli, and Continental... If you want a sport tire that will last longer than the high performance tires listed below, while still offering excellent performance and grip, try the Dunlop Sportmax GPR300... If you want a do-it-all tire sport tire that blends elements taken from sports bikes, supermotos, and ADV bikes, try the Dunlop Mutants... If you want a super grippy tire for the street or kart track, we also like the Bridgestone S22's... Another super grippy tire for the street or kart track, is the Pirelli Diablo Rosso III... Another super grippy tire for the street or kart track, is the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT ... Another super grippy tire for the street or kart track, is the Continental ContiAttack SM...
