HOW TO MAKE THE MT-09 FRONT LED TURN SIGNALS FROM NRC WORK AS RUNNING LIGHTS:

NRC's completely plug n play LED front turn signals for the Yamaha MT-09 are one of our favorite upgrades to the bike. They are brighter than the stock turn signals, and about half their size, so they look much much better. The only downside is that NRC did not incorporate the running light feature into them, so they only work as turn signals, and you lose the front running lights that Yamaha has the bike wired for. We like the running lights because it not only makes you more visible on the road, but it also happens to look pretty cool along with the front headlight running lights.

How we did it:
Using our 2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP Project Bike, we figured out a way to get the NRC LED's working as running lights. It's not plug-n-play, but it is pretty simple to do. Basically you cut each NRC turn signal wiring harness in half, and splice in our 12oClockLabs Running Light Adapter (Universal Model). That RLA has a 2 wire side and a 3 wire side, so you connect the 2 wire side to the turn signal side of the harness and the 3 wire side to the connector plug side of the harness (see photo). We used butt connectors as shown in the photo to make the connections, and once you do all this, you will have NRC front LED turn signals that stay on as running lights.
