This is one of our favorite exhaust systems for the Yamaha MT-07.... looks great, sounds great, just about the perfect exhaust for this bike. We've run Akrapovic exhaust on several of our project bikes over the years, and have always been impressed with the quality, looks and sound.  Installation: Installation was pretty straightforward. Inside the box there's a QR code that links you over to instructions. The header pipe comes pre-assembled, and we had to use some white lithium grease on the crossover piece and wiggle it around in order to get the header bolted up to the cylinder head. Additionally, you have to install a mounting bracket that requires you to unbolt the footpeg and brake pedal assembly, and move it aside, to put the bracket in place, All of that is outlined in the instructions and goes pretty smoothly. Looks: Fit and finish of the exhaust is typical Akrapovic...just a real clean looking system. The header pipe looks excellent once it starts to turn color, and the carbon fiber muffler really looks the part on these bikes. Installing an exhaust like this really transforms the look of your ride no doubt about it. Sound: The bike has a very aggressive and throaty exhaust note with this system installed, I love it, totally transforms the bike and makes the riding experience so much better. We have the quiet insert installed in the muffler on ours, and it sounds just about right for my tastes (I'm not a fan of excessively loud exhausts). Performance: We've just installed this exhaust and only have about 50 miles on it, but have not flashed the ECU yet. The bike runs OK, but you can tell the mapping is just not quite right, although it's surprisingly not too bad. It's definitely restricted by emissions regulations though, so we will be sending our ECU out shortly to vcyclenut for one of his ECU flashes, so stay tuned... Click video below for a sound demo...
