HANDGUARDS:
Handguards are one of the most popular modifications for the Suzuki DR-Z400S, DR-Z400SM, or any dual sport / off road bike for that matter. Handguards will protect your hands and the bikes controls from tree branches and other trail hazards, plus they can help prevent damage if you crash or drop your bike. Another side benefit is that they offer a bit of wind protection in cooler weather.
We have simplified the whole process of buying the individual parts you need for handguards, by putting together a few package deals that allow you to select everything you need.
For the Suzuki DRZ400S or DRZ400SM, we recommend Zeta's Armor Handguards or Zeta's PRO Armor Handguards. Listed below are some of the details and differences between the two...

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS:
OPTION 1: Zeta Armor Handguards
If you have steel handlebars on your bike (like the DRZ400S comes with), or have aluminum handlebars (like the Renthal Fatbars on the DRZ400SM) and are looking for a standard handguard that clamps to your handlebars, this is the way to go. It is our best selling handguard, because it does a great job of protecting your hands/controls, and for the vast majority of riders, they work great. They come pre-drilled for mounting of the optional Zeta XC protector shields and Zeta LED flashers/turn signals.

OPTION 2: Zeta PRO Armor Handguards
If you are running aftermarket aluminum handlebars on your DRZ400S, or have a DRZ400SM with the stock aluminum Renthal Fatbars, and want a stronger more durable handguard, the PRO Armor Handguards is the way to go. The PRO Armor Handguards have a couple additional features like longer / stronger bar end inserts, protective plastic bumpers on the outside of the handguard, and stronger mounting kits that bolt to the triple clamps or handlebar mount (instead of clamping to the handlebars). They come pre-drilled for mounting of the optional Zeta XC protector shields and Zeta LED flashers/turn signals.
