Due to the gas tank design on Kawasaki's Z900RS, mounting a tank bag isn't real easy. Some tank bags are so large in size that they block the dash, and some will scratch up the paint on your beautifully painted tank. We tried several tank bags on our Z900RS Cafe project bike and settled on this trick tank bag and mount kit from Givi. Once the mounting kit is installed, you can mount and remove the tank bag in a matter of seconds. To mount it, you just press the tank bag onto the mount and it will lock into place. Because of this design, the tank bag does not actually touch your gas tank and therefore it won't scratch it. To remove the tank bag, you press the red lever and twist the bag until it releases. This is by far the best tank bag we've seen for the Z900RS. One cool feature is the clear window on top of the bag, with neoprene pocket and velcro closure to house your smartphone.
