None of these will really stand up to much abuse, so a proper aluminum handguard setup is the way to go. If you're looking for the best handguard setup for your Yamaha dual sport, supermoto, enduro or off-road bike, we've put together this package deal that allows you to customize your handguards to fit your needs. This package consists of our very popular Zeta Racing PRO Armor Handguards, an upgraded version of Zeta Racing's standard Armor handguards. With these you can choose the type of mount kit you want... either Zeta's standard handlebar clamps, their U-Clamp handlebars clamps, or their Side Mount Type handguard mount that attaches the handguards to your bikes top triple clamp. Optionally, you can add Zeta XC or XC Pro plastic protectors that screw to the front of the aluminum handguards, and if your bike is wired for front turns signals, you can also adde the integrated LED turn signals that mount in the protectors. NOTE: These hand guards come with insert kits designed for handlebars with a 13.5mm - 14.55mm diameter opening in the end of the handlebars. This usually means aluminum handlebars which typically use thicker walled tubing and therefore have a smaller opening on the end. We have had customers fit them to steel handlebars, but they've had to shim the inserts to get them to fit. If you have stock or aftermarket aluminum handlebars, the inserts should fit just right. The unique two-piece clamp design provides some adjust-ability since the clamp pivots at the center. Choose 7/8" or 1 1/8" depending on your handlebar size. Stock CRF450L/RL handlebars are 7/8". SIDE MOUNT TYPE can be used to attach handguard to the top triple clamp on motorcycles with top triple clamp fork bolts attached from the side. Most Yamaha's have this type of top triple clamp, but check your bike to be sure it has the top triple clamp bolts facing to the sides of the bike as shown in photos.
