The Yamaha XSR900 and MT-09 come with descent tires from the factory, but they will never offer the performance of some of the better sport bike and sport touring tires on the market. We replaced our tires right away with something that would offer superior grip to the OEM tires. These bikes have a lot of power, especially when modded, and we wanted the stickiest tires we could get on our XSR900 project bike. We're currently running Dunlop Q3 Plus's and couldn't be happier with that tire choice. We use that tire on several bikes here at the shop and it's one of our favorites. If you want a super grippy tire for the street or track, we like the Dunlop Q3 Plus's... Another super grippy tire for the street or track, is the Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22... Another super grippy tire for the street or track, is the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT ... If you want a sport tire that will last longer than the high performance tires listed above, try the Dunlop Sportmax GPR300... |
