       Here are some ideas for equipping your Yamaha WR250R (or WR250X) with racks and luggage for day trips, long road trips and adventure riding... TANK BAGS: We really like the Giant Loop Diablo Pro Tank Bag. It fits both the stock fuel tank and the IMS 3 gallon tank very well, holds quite a bit of gear, and mounts to the tank in a way that makes re-fueling easy... by simply unzipping either side of the bag from the harness, and flipping the bag to the side to allow access to the gas cap. Very trick. The Wolfman Enduro Tank Bag is also a great option, especially if you are looking for a waterproof tank bag that fits dual sport sized bikes perfectly. If you don't want a large tank bag, and just want something smaller, go with the Giant Loop Buckin' Roll Tank Bag. That tank bag works great on the bike, stays out of the way, and holds smaller essential items. CARGO RACKS / TAIL BAGS: Our favorite combo for a rear cargo rack and tail bag is the Pro Moto Billet Cargo Rack, which bolts right up to the bikes rear sub-frame. We found that the Nelson Rigg Trails End Dual Sport Tail Bag fits the rack perfectly and straps securely to the sides of the rack. That tail bag holds quite a bit of stuff, and you can also use Nelson Rigg Trails End Fuel Bottle Holder, which attaches to the top of the tail bag, to carry a fuel bottle and some extra fuel. The Wolfman Peak Tail Bag is also a great option, especially if you are looking for a waterproof bag that fits ideally onto dual sport sized cargo racks. SADDLEBAGS: If you're not running side racks on your bike, then check out the Giant Loop MoJavi Saddlebags. Specifically designed to carry just the essentials needed for a day trip or trail ride, these saddlebags work without side racks, and help keep the bikes profile very narrow for optimal off-road riding. On the exhaust side, if you have an aftermarket exhaust installed, you'll want one of the Giant Loop Hot Springs Heat Shields to mount to the muffler and protect the saddlebags from heat. |
