      The mirrors that come standard on the Yamaha Tenere 700 work OK from a functional standpoint, but are not ideal for off-road riding. In some cases they can even do damage if they were to get bent or broken in a drop or crash. Specifically, take a look at how your stock mirrors are threaded into the front clutch and brake reservoir housings. If your inflexible stock mirror were to get hit just right, it could do damage to this expensive piece the mirror is mounted to. This is where Double Take mirrors are superior to OEM mirrors, since they are designed to bend or rotate out of the way if they get hit. These mirrors were designed with adventure touring bikes like the Yamaha Tenere 700 in mind, but they also work well on dual sport bikes. If you find yourself doing more street riding than off-road riding, or want a mirror that is more stable at highway speeds, then the Adventure Mirror is what you're looking for. If you do mostly off-road riding with your Tenere, and want a mirror that is a bit better when the going gets rough, you might be more interested in the DoubleTake Enduro mirrors instead. NOTE: On the Tenere 700, the right side mirror is reverse threaded. So, to mount the Double Take Ball Stud you will also need a Reverse Thread Adapter that threads into the perch and accepts the ball stud. We include this adapter.
