One of my few dis-likes with the new 2025 Yamaha MT-07 is that Yamaha didn't put threaded holes in the swingarm so that spools could be mounted, making it easy to lift the bike with a traditional lift stand. To me, this is a huge oversight on Yamaha and I'm not sure why something so simple wasn't done on the bike. Our Yamaha MT-09 SP project bike does have the threaded holes in the swingarm, as do most of the street bikes we have in the shop, it would have been so easy for Yamaha to do the same with the MT-07. How to lift your Yamaha MT-07: So, to lift the MT-07 you need a lift stand that can safely lift the bike from under the swingarm. There are several options out there, and we really like Woodcraft's Rear Adjustable Pad Stand. This adjustable pad stand allows you to lift the bike by the swingarm with their padded adapters. The padded adapters / lift arms are fully adjustable to the width of your swingarm, and the part that lifts from under the swingarm is padded so the bike won't slide around, and also won't damage the swingarm.
