We use plastic skid plates from AXP Racing on several of our dual sport and supermoto project bikes, and prefer them to aluminum since they tend to vibrate less and cause less buzzi-ness on thumpers like the KTM 350, while at the same time offering really good protection.

Standard Features:

Made of 6 mm thick polyethylene

HDPE plastic skid plate is designed for dual sport, enduro, motocross, supercross use

Covers the underside of the frame, protects the engine and crankcases from trail and road hazards

40% lighter than aluminum, absorbs impacts, does not undergo deformations, does not generate vibrations
