The first fender eliminator kit / tail tidy available for the new Honda CB750 Hornet was the one from Evotech Performance, and it's hard to argue that it will be one of the best available for these bikes. We've used their kits on a few of our project bikes, including our Yamaha MT-09 and MT-10, and they're always high quality, so we decided to install one on our CB750 Hornet Project Bike. The Evotech kit re-uses the stock tail light/brake light, and eliminates the large plastic piece that hangs off the back of the bike and holds your license plate. It's designed to re-use your stock LED turn signals (although aftermarket LED's should work too). The Evotech tail light kit is CNC-machined from lightweight, durable aluminum, precisely attaches to existing mounting points on the bike with no modifications, and includes a replacement, high quality LED license plate light. Overall, it has a very OEM quality look to it.
Installation of this kit is pretty straightforward since this is one of the simpler Evotech designs (there are detailed instructions on their website at evotech-performance.com). The kit is designed to bolt right up to the existing factory mounting points on the rear subframe. So, once you remove the stock piece that hangs off the rear sub-frame, the Evotech kit is ready to mount on your bike in place of the stock license plate assembly. It re-uses the stock tail light/brake light itself. Your OEM turn signals attach directly to the mounts on the side of the kit, and they also include a plug-n-play license plate LED light. The end result is a very clean and almost OEM look.
Final Verdict: The Evotech tail tidy really cleans up the back end of the Honda CB750 Hornet very nicely, and improves the overall look of the bike quite a bit. In fact it's probably the one single item that improves the look of the bike the most. Installation was very simple, and it fits the bike really nicely, with almost an OEM quality to it.
