Even though the 2021+ models looked virtually the same, there were some differences, like a larger radiator, LED turn signals (debatable on what model year that started), and a few other very minor things. 2026 brought the "Gen 3" with minor visual changes, but the more significant changes came with the electronics, and the addition of an IMU, quick shifter, cruise control, etc. Additionally the 2026 has a new exhaust system. Kawasaki continued to offer beautiful paint schemes that changed almost every year, and that is usually the easiest way to distinguish between model years. 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS / Cafe For 2018, Kawasaki pulled the wraps off its Z900RS motorcycle, a retro-inspired standard based on its Z900 streetfighter, and a throwback to it's Z1 900 from the early 70's. The new Z900RS was available in a standard model that came in Candytone Brown/Candytone Orange or Metallic Spark Black colorways, as well as a cafe racer inspired model that came in the very retro Vintage Lime Green colorway. The 2020 Kawasaki Z900RS sees an updated TFT with smartphone connectivity and a new Candytone Green paint scheme. The MSRP increased slightly to $11,199.
