FlashTune ECU's (FTECU) Bike Side Data-Link ECU Flashing Kit Type 11 is now available for the Yamaha XSR900 (and FZ-09 / MT-09 / FJ-09). Your bike already has a standalone ECU and now you can get the tools to program it! There is no longer any need to send away your ECU to be re-flashed! FlashTune ECU believes everyone deserves the same tuning technology that until now was reserved for factory riders. With their software you can flash your ECU with their maps, and also remove the restrictions that the factory must put in place to meet strict street vehicle guidelines. By flashing your ECU you are able to tune your bike without interfering with critical correction factors resulting in smoother power gains than ever before possible.

We currently have this Bike Side ECU Flashing Kit installed on our 2016 Yamaha XSR900 Project bike. We're using it along with a Graves Full Titanium exhaust system, Graves Smog Block Off Kit, and K&N Air Filter. Once we installed the bike-side programming harness, we were easily able to use the FlashTune ECU Software to flash our bikes ECU with the specific map that Graves Motorsports developed for their exhaust system and this specific bike. Afterwards, the bike runs phenomenally well and its very re-assuring knowing that we are using a tune that is specific to this bike and the exact exhaust system we have installed on it. You cannot go wrong with this setup!

Once you install the bike-side programming harness on your bike, you will log into FlashTunes website to register the product, and then download their tuning software. This software interface allows you to access their database of maps for your bike, and also easily adjust the following parameters:

Remove ECU Restrictions

Engine Braking adjustments

High Load Fuel Maps (with PC3 and PC5 map importing)

Low Load (cruising) Fuel Maps

Fuel Injector Proportioning

Ignition Timing

Immobilizer Function

Cooling Fan Temps

Rev-Limiter Control

Remove Top Speed Limiter

ECU Based Quick-shifting
